I think this is beautifully designed because the players must cross paths as they walk across the street after the game. I can picture two random strangers exchanging high-fives or at least smiling at each other.
This is really interesting idea. I like how it is put in place to make a moment of boredom - waiting for a light - into a moment of fun. You have to stand there anyway, and it will even warn you when the light has changed.
